Getting started

Quickstart

Signing up drops you into a six-step wizard. It takes a few minutes and leaves you with a brand, a knowledge base, a competitor set and a starting list of prompts — enough for the first visibility snapshot.

The six steps

The wizard at /onboarding runs in a fixed order and shows Step n of 6 with a progress bar. Each step hands its answers to the next, so later steps arrive pre-filled rather than blank.

StepWhat it asks for
Your websiteThe domain you want tracked. Everything else is derived from it.
Install the visitor tagThe one-line <script> that attributes real visitors to the AI assistant that sent them. Add it to the site-wide head/global custom-code area or a tag manager so it loads on every page. We record a browser check-in separately from the first AI visitor. You can take I’ll do this later and finish it from Setup whenever you like.
Brand contextWho you are and what you sell, in your own words.
CompetitorsThe brands you want to be compared against — direct, search-result or third-party (listicles, review sites).
Starter promptsThe questions to ask the models on your behalf.
SnapshotThe first run, which turns those prompts into measurable answers.

The activation checklist

Finishing the wizard is not the same as being fully set up. The app tracks six activation steps and surfaces the outstanding ones — on the AI Agent page, among others — until each is genuinely done. They are checked against your data, not against a “dismissed” flag:

  • Create your brand
  • Build the knowledge base
  • Activate prompts
  • Get your first sample
  • Install the visitor tag
  • Invite your team

Where the data shows up

  1. AEO Insights — what the models said about you: visibility, responses, mentions, sentiment, cited sources, topics, fanout and locations.
  2. LLM Analytics — who came to your site from an AI assistant, and which AI crawlers fetched it.
  3. Traffic — classic search performance from Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools and GA4.
  4. Alerts — the changes worth interrupting you for.
The visitor tag and crawler feed are different installs. The browser tag attributes real visitors to an AI assistant. Optional crawler tracking needs request logs from a server or edge you control. Prompts only cost quota, and therefore only produce data, once they areactive.
