Connect Bing Webmaster Tools

Bing matters more than its market share suggests: it is the search index behind several AI assistants, so Bing performance and AI visibility are less independent than they look.

Two ways to connect

Microsoft sign-in (recommended)

  1. Open LLM Analytics, expand Search & analytics connections on the Setup tab, and choose Bing Webmaster Tools.
  2. Sign in with Microsoft. Ranksify requests webmaster.read only — the read scope, not the one that would let it change your Bing settings.
  3. Pick the site. Your verified sites are listed and the one matching your brand domain is pre-selected; saving starts the first sync.

Access tokens are refreshed automatically, so a connection that has been idle for weeks keeps syncing without a second sign-in.

API key

The connect card also accepts a Bing Webmaster API key directly. Generate one in Bing Webmaster Tools, paste it into the field on the Bing card, and connect. The key is stored against that connection and used for its syncs. This path is useful when you would rather not run an OAuth grant, but sign-in is the better default because it does not require you to rotate a secret by hand.

What arrives

  • Query and page performance: clicks, impressions, CTR and average position.
  • A daily rank-and-traffic series for the connected site.

It lands in Traffic under the Bing provider, alongside Search Console and GA4.

Troubleshooting

The sync succeeds but imports zero rows

This is usually accurate rather than broken. If a site has little or no history in Bing, the query and page statistics endpoints return nothing at all, and Ranksify shows an honest empty state rather than inventing figures or falling back to sample data. Confirm in Bing Webmaster Tools itself: if its own reports are empty for the same window, there is nothing to import yet.

The site is not in the picker

The picker lists sites the signed-in Microsoft account can see in Bing Webmaster Tools. If yours is missing, it has not been added and verified there yet, or it belongs to a different account. Verify it in Bing first, then use Change site on the connection card.
